SANTA ROSA BEACH — The 2nd Annual New Year’s Eve Celebration and Paddle Board Drop continues Dec 31st at Redd’s Fueling Station on Scenic Highway 30a in Blue Mountain Beach. The new twist on New Year’s Eve is the brainchild of Redd Vizard, who owns the restaurant. Last year the “Drop The Paddle Board” drew an enthusaist crowd of revellers who witnessed the board drop at midnight EST 11 CST. The event raised over $1,200 for the Sacred Heart Emerald Coast Cancer Unit.
The evening will start with Redd’s famous Singing Bartender Show along with elegant buffet and 2 free drinks, then the brightly lit paddle board will be dropped at the countdown to the New Year. A champagne toast and full special traditional New Year’s items along with party favors will be on hand all evening for attendees. Tickets for the entertainment portion of the evening are $40 per person and available at www.reddsfuel.com or by calling 850-325-0252. There is no cost to watch the paddle board drop.
“Panama City does the beach ball drop, Key West does the big red shoe drop, so I thought it was appropriate to drop a paddle board since we are so close to the beach,” she said.
The 2nd Annual Paddle Board Drop will take place at Redds Fueling Station bar and restaurant 2320 W County Highway 30a, Blue Mountain Beach, 32459. For reservations call 850-325-0252 or visit www.reddsfuel.com
