Santa Rosa Beach

Santa Rosa Beach is the unincorporated township that encompasses the areas between Laguna Beach (west Panama City Beach, Florida) to the east and to Miramar Beach, Florida (just east of Destin) to the west.  It stretches north to the Choctawhatchee bay and of course it’s southern border is the Gulf of Mexico. So in essence, there is water everywhere but don’t drink it…it has salt in it.

As a matter of fact, all of the communities along scenic Hwy 30A and South Walton county (with the exception of Miramar Beach and Sandestin resort) are located inside the boundaries of  Santa Rosa Beach.

Originally an area dependent on the turpentine industry, Santa Rosa Beach now is home to a great Florida Industry – tourism. The area is also known for it’s luxury beach houses, upscale and diverse dining possibilities, and a thriving artist’s culture.

Santa Rosa Beach was named one of the “10 Best Beach Destinations for 2011” by Yahoo! Travel for all it offers. Yay.
